Fibre and Textile Reinforcement of Rolled Wooden Tubes

This project deals with the reinforcement of structural wooden components by means of technical textiles. Particular importance is attached to the material productivity during the transformation of the raw wood. Cut offs in the saw mill and the use of solid cross sections lead to a pour material efficiency. A new understanding of the wood as a cellular solid allows thermo-hygroforming of profiles.
