nuclear energy, nanotechnology, energy policy and climate change

Education:
Secondary Scool for engineering in Vienna (College for Electronic Engineering)

Experience:
1975-1984 measurement technician in a research department in semiconductor industry.

Since 1986 scientific specialist at the Austrian Institute for Applied Ecology: Establishing of the gamma spectrospcopy laboratory, radiological examinations, studies and publications about reactor safety, nuclear waste management & disposal, expertise and comments on licensing procedures (reprocessing plant in Bavaria, EIA Mochovce, Bohunice, Krsko, Cernavoda, Paks)

Risk minimization along the value chain of plant dyes, from the cultivation and the procurement of raw and residual materials to the colouring with plant dyes and the processing of plant dyed textiles in textile factories as well as the development of a concept for a demonstration project.

Colors of Nature, 2008 – 2011:
By means of optimization of the production of vegetable dyes and dyeing technology, the vegetable dyestuff “Colors of Nature” will achieve market maturity. In co-operation with farmers and companies of the textile, food processing and wood working industry there will be developed a competitive product throughout the value chain, which will not only yield an ecological advantage, but also generate regional creation of value.
