Mr. Lars Fogh Mortensen is heading the group on Sustainable Consumption & Production (SCP) and Waste in the European Environment Agency (EEA). Mr. Mortensen is Economist by training and has over 15 years of experience working on sustainable development. He joined the European Environment Agency in 2003. Previously, Mr. Mortensen has worked at the OECD, at the Danish EPA and in the Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (UNCSD). In the EEA, Mr. Mortensen has among many other tasks written the report “Household consumption and the environment” and managed the preparation of the report “Effectiveness of packaging waste management systems in selected countries: an EEA pilot study”. Previously, he was one of two lead authors of the first OECD Environmental Outlook and led UNCSD work on sustainable development indicators.
