Dr. Katrin Ostertag studied economics in Germany and the UK. Marie-Curie-Fellow at the CIRED / Paris (1999-2000), doctoral thesis at the University Louis Pasteur Strasbourg (2002). In 1995, she joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research. Since 2008 she coordinates the research area „Sustainability Innovation and Policy“ in the Competence Center Sustainablity and Infrastructure Systems. Her current research interests include determinants and effects of sustainable innovations, globalisation and international competitiveness, design and evaluation of environmental policy instruments.
