Dr. Andrea Koch-Kraft was trained as a geographer at McGill University,
Montreal, The University of Alberta, Edmonton and Marburg University
where she received her doctorate in 1989.
Since, she has worked as a
scientific officer at the German Advisory Council on Global Change, the
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, The German Embassy in Ottawa and
PT-DLR Project Management Agency for the German Federal Ministry of
Education and Research. With the latter she has been since 1994. At
present she manages BMBF's research priority on Future Megacities.
