Vita:

• 10/93 - 03/94 Trainee at the State Forest Administration of Bavaria.  
• 04/98 Graduate from the Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich (Dipl.-Forstwirtin Univ.;1,7), specialisation in timber technology, applied informatics (certificate study) and additional qualification in Visual Tree Assessment (VTA).
• Diploma thesis in the field pathology / biomechanics “Research on Heart Wood Decay of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris, L.) - Sonic Impulse Measurements as Test Method” (1,1). During the studies supported by the German Foundation for Studies (Deutsche Studienstiftung).   
• 06/98 - 10/00 Internship and Second State Examination (Assessor des Forstdienstes) at the Bavarian State Forest Administration, special practice in site mapping (growth region 5.6, Keuper).   
• 1/00 - 03/04 Scientific Coordinator of the Joint Research Project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) “Future-oriented Forestry” in the region Saxony. Within the project research on “Value-inventory and value control for a yield-oriented survey of an ecological conversion”. Here, focus was laid on the development of photogrammetrical wood quality inventory methods.   
• 04/04 - now Scientific co-worker at the Chair for Soil Science and Soil Protection with focus on “Longterm Effects of fly-ash deposition in North-Eastern Germany - Regionalization and Silvicultural Responses”. 
• Since January 04 Co-editor of the journal Forst und Holz, Schlütersche Verlagsgesellschaft.
• Since May 05 project manager of the BMBF joint research initiative ENFORCHANGE (Environment and Forests under Changing Conditions).
• Coordination of and participation in several joint research initiatives on German and EU level.
