Biodiversity is the foundation of our existence. It helps regulate our climate, provides drinking water, food and medicinal products. The increasing use of our natural resources destroys ecosystems and drastically reduces biodiversity on our planet. In order to tackle this challenge, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research funds projects, for example within the "Science Year 2016*17 - Seas and Oceans". These research results aid in developing strategies and recommendations to protect biodiversity. Find out more and download the PDF here.
