"Global tasks for the future, such as the sustainable management of scarce natural resources, call for combining the forces of research and industry."
Prof. Dr. Frieder Meyer-Krahmer
State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research
24.10.2006. From 23 to 25 October 2006, more
than 400 experts from research, industry, politics and society
participated in the third BMBF Forum for Sustainability. This year’s
forum focussed on cooperations between research and industry. Among the
issues discussed in Berlin were:
- How can research results be transferred into marketable products?
- How can enterprises benefit from sustainability?
- How can sustainable thinking and quick profits be combined?
Partnerships form the basis for successful innovations, as was
pointed out by the delegates from industry, research and politics.
The 4th BMBF Forum for Sustainability will take place in Leipzig from 8 to 10 May 2007 during Germany’s EU presidency. Click here for the call for presentations and posters. L2L-Call
