

Nicoleta Chioncel studied education science and sociology at “Babes-Bolyai University” Cluj-Napoca, and started her academic career in 1995 at University of Oradea, Romania. From 2001 she was working on several European projects on active citizenship, social cohesion and integration at Radboud University, The Netherlands (2002-2004). She was a fellow of “Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology and Society”, Graz (2006-2007). Since February 2008 she is working at the IFZ Graz, Austria, “Inter-University Research Centre for Technology, Work and Culture” on the FP7 Project FAAN – “Facilitating Alternative Agro-Food Networks: Stakeholder Perspectives on Research Needs”, which is funded by European Commission within “Science and Society” theme. Her research interests are focusing on: social learning, sustainability, active citizenship and governance.
