Axel Biegert (born in 1975 in Bietigheim, Germany) studied economics and political science at the University of Cologne with a special emphasis on energy
and environmental economics. In 2006 he joined INTEGRATION Environment &
Energy, a German company implementing
environmental and energy projects for international donors in developing
countries and emerging markets. His areas of expertise at INTEGRATION include
environmental and energy economic analysis, policy advisory services, strategy
development as well as impact monitoring. As project manager he has accompanied several projects
in Africa and Asia for different donor organisations
like German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), European Commission, or the German
Bank for Reconstruction (KfW).
