Susan Pick is Professor of Social Psychology at the National University of Mexico since 1975. She founded and directs IMIFAP (Mexican Institute for Research on Family and Population) an NGO that has reached over 17.5 million people in Latin America and the US through its school and community based health promotion and poverty reduction programs. During 2005-2007 Dr. Pick was awarded a Research Fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health. She received both her undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees in Social Psychology with honors from the University of London, England. Professor Pick specializes in the development, large scale implementation, evaluation and advocacy of human development programs for underserved populations through building up individual and contextual capabilities.
