The Center for Retailing Excellence of FGV-EAESP (GVcev) was created in 2001, with the objective not only to stimulate and promote synergy among all the activities developed at FGV-EAESP related to retail, but also to encourage the development of meaningful research, publication and education to the business and academic community related to Retailing. We hope to make a significant contribution to improve retailing practices and knowledge in Brazil. Among its activities GVcev has a program that can have synergy with fona: The Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability in Retailing. This Program was created in 2003 to promote CSR and Sustainalbility in the Brazilian retail sector. Its main objectives are to mobilize, recognize, generate and disseminate knowledge on CSR practices among retailing companies and sector-specific associations.
