The Lotus-Effect®: Technical Realization by means of Fluoropolymeric Coatings

Description: Nowadays economic and thoughtful resource management is indispensable.

Objective: Superhydrophobic Coatings providing a hierarchical setup of different structural layers make the Lotus-Effect® available for a wide range of technical applications. In Cooperation with the Institute for Botany of TU Dresden and Nehlsen BWB Flugzeuggalvanik many different structures have been achieved by means of sandblasting, thermal spray coatings or galvanic treatment.

Forecast: Superhydrophobic Coatings enable end-users to save resources and energy in various production processes.
