Meeting of the G7 Science Ministers in Berlin
Germany will welcome the G7 science ministers to Berlin from 8-9 October 2015. The ministers will be discussing ways of intensifying their research activities.
Key areas of discussion at the G7 summit at Schloss Elmau, in June 2015, included ocean and climate protection, as well as resource efficiency. The meeting of the G7 science ministers in October will revisit these issues and formulate a joint plan of action.
To address the challenge of the ever increasing pollution of the oceans, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research initiated the Europe-wide research programme “Microplastics in Marine Systems”. For more information click here.
