3rd German Future Earth Summit: From Knowledge to Action

To successfully implement the 2030 Agenda and to reach the goals of the Paris Agreement scientific knowledge is essential to support and improve decision-making on possible development pathways of society. Considering the tight time scale the scientific community is challenged more than ever before to provide answers of the world's biggest societal and environmental problems.

The German Future Earth Summit provides a platform for the scientific community on a national level relevant to global sustainability research. The 2018 Summit will focus on Future Earth Knowledge Action Networks (KANs). KANs are expected to create and provide an creative environment for science and stakeholders to advance integrated knowledge generation on topics such as Health, Natural Assets, Ocean, Sustainable Consumption & Production, Sustainable Development Goals, Transformations, Urban, Water-Energy-Food Nexus, Finance & Economics.

The German Committee Future Earth cordially invites you, the German Future Earth and WCRP community, and others interested to discuss research in the context of the Knowledge Action Networks at the 3rd German Future Earth Summit, February 8 to 9, 2018 in Berlin.
